Annual Benefit Concert

We hope you can join the four quartet members for their final benefit concert before they graduate. While we hope that a legacy group will be able to continue our mission in the years to come, this year marks the end of an era. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged and tax deductible. Parking is available in the Brady Garage. Please join us for a reception following the concert for a chance to mingle with the artists. Looking forward to seeing you there!

May Benefit Concert

Dear Friend of the Catalpa Quartet,

At the start of the 2013-2014 school year, four 8th grade students from North Junior High School formed the Catalpa Quartet, a non-profit organization that assists Title I elementary schools in the Boise Independent School District with instrument repair. The District, though very devoted to musical education, does not have the necessary resources to properly maintain its orchestral instruments.

So far, the Catalpa Quartet has raised almost $17,000 toward this effort.

The Quartet, now juniors at Boise High School, will be performing their 4th Annual Benefit Concert on the BSU Campus at the Morrison Center Recital Hall (Room C-200) on Sunday May 21st, 2017 from 3:00 PM- 4:30 PM. This hour-long performance includes works by: Haydn, Beethoven, Grieg, and Debussy. The concert is FREE but donations will be gratefully accepted. Should you choose to contribute, receipts for your tax-deductible donation will be made available from the Boise Public Schools Education Foundation. We welcome you to join us for a reception immediately following the performance.

If you can't make it to the event, but are still interested in supporting our cause you may DONATE NOW. Under "Designation" choose other, then type in "Catalpa Quartet Fund".

On behalf of the financially disadvantaged elementary music students of the Boise School District, we hope you can join us for an afternoon of “Changing Lives One Note At A Time”.

The Catalpa Quartet

Jusung Lee (Violin I), Abby Robison (Violin II), Anaïse Boucher-Browning (Viola), and Ben Seabourn (Cello)

Whitney Elementary Performance (Title I School)

This is one of the schools that our fundraising efforts help to support. It will be a great experience to witness firsthand the fruits of our labor manifesting themselves through improved insruments, and thus, an improved education. We are all looking forward to this performance as it will give us an idea as to how we are "changing lives one note at a time."
